As well as the people who take care of the animals. Is there any jobs were people educate others about the animals?
What kinds of jobs are there at Aquariums besides the people who do tours and work in gift shops?
They always need volunteers to guide crowds through the building; to clean the windows; to haul foods, etc. If you are young, think about acting as a volunteer, first. Don't forget the ticket takers, question answerers, etc.
They usually start to sort through the "list" during midwinter so that all the worker-bees are ready to go during the heavy tourism season (unless you happen to be someplace that is open all year).
The more educated and specialized you are, the better your job opportunity will be. Many college students end up doing internships (unpaid jobs) in exchange for more learning experiences.
