I want to be a lawyer and I have no clue what jobs I should be taking to get more familiar with the profession. What would you recommend? Especially that will look good on a Law School application?
What jobs can I get (with no prior experience) to get a good background in law for my future as a laywer?
Try getting a position at a law firm, such as a receptionist, assistant, or courier/runner. If you're already in law school, try to get a job as a law clerk at a firm. Try your law school's Career Development office for leads.
Also, for real resume boosters, try to get onto your law school's Law Review staff or Moot Court Board. The top firms recruit heavily for students involved in these, and they also look for students with high G.P.A.'s.
