I dont like to baby sit(bad experience), mow lawns, or wash cars. What jobs can I get that are fun?
What jobs can a 12 year old get besides baby sitting, lawn mowing, and washing cars?
That's about it due to the labor laws. Even 16 year olds need permission to do other jobs.
A person who can't drive is a headache to employers. You have to be dropped off by somebody, can only work so long, and have to be picked up by someone else as well.

Not too long ago, kids could be anything they wanted at early ages.
David Farragut entered the Navy as a midshipman back in the early 1800's. In the War of 1812, when he was only 12 years old, he was given command of a prize ship taken by USS Essex and brought her safely to port. Kids used to have more options, and child labor laws were motivated by politics, not just people concerned about sweatshops. If you're interested, check out a book called The History of Childhood by Lloyd deMause. Goodluck!
